Squire
In Medieval Europe, young men who were training to become knights were called "squires". Squires were knights-in-training. They would often be paired with a knight who would teach them skills like horse-riding, climbing, jousting, music, and even dancing. Squires were also taught a code of conduct known as chivalry. Squires were taught to be respectful and courteous, and how to act when in a royal court.
